Can AI even read
your website?
42 technical checks in about 15 seconds. We start where other audits stop: whether the crawlers behind ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and Gemini are allowed in, and whether what they find is parseable. Then the usual foundations: search, security, speed, accessibility.
What we check
Five categories, one prioritised fix list
AI answer readiness
Whether ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and Gemini can fetch, parse and quote this site.
Search fundamentals
The signals both classic search and AI retrieval still depend on.
Security
Transport and browser hardening a visitor (or a procurement checklist) can see.
Performance
How fast and how heavy the first response is. Crawlers give up on slow servers.
Standards and accessibility
Basic correctness that browsers, screen readers and crawlers all rely on.
Why the AI part matters
A perfect SEO score does not mean an assistant can quote you
Classic audits were built for one reader: Googlebot. Answer engines behave differently. They arrive as GPTBot, OAI-SearchBot, ClaudeBot or PerplexityBot, most of them ignore JavaScript, and they lift passages rather than rank pages. A site can rank on page one and still be invisible in an AI answer because robots.txt quietly blocks the bot that fetches sources, or because the content only exists after hydration.
This scan tells you whether the door is open. The next question, whether the engines actually cite you when buyers ask, needs a different measurement.
Door open, still not cited?
That is what CiteViz measures: we ask ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude and Grok the questions your buyers ask, and count how often your domain comes back as a source. The first check is free and needs no account.

About the scan
Is it really free?
Yes, and there is no account or email step. The scan is pure HTTP and parsing, so it costs us fractions of a cent. The paid product is the ongoing measurement of how AI answers cite you.
Which pages do you fetch?
The homepage, /robots.txt, /llms.txt, /sitemap.xml, one deliberately nonexistent URL to test 404 handling, and the certificate. Nothing else, one request each, identified as CiteVizBot.
Do you store the results?
We keep the scan result so the link keeps working and so we can show aggregate statistics. We do not store the page content itself.
Can I scan a competitor?
Yes. Everything checked here is public information that any browser can see.
How is this different from PageSpeed or a classic SEO audit?
Overlap on the fundamentals, plus a category none of them cover: whether the specific crawlers behind AI assistants can reach and parse your content. That is now where a growing share of buying research happens.
