AI Visibility Index
Who do AI assistants actually recommend?
We ask the same buying questions that real customers type into ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude and Grok, then count every site the engines cite as a source. No self-reported data, no survey: just what the engines answered on the day we asked.

How to read it
Visibility is the share of answers in which an engine cited that domain as a source. A brand at 40% was cited in four out of ten answers. Share of citations is how much of the whole category's citation pie the brand takes, so it moves when rivals gain, not only when you lose.
Directories, review sites and encyclopedias are stripped out of the ranking and listed separately as "who the engines lean on", because getting into those is usually the fastest way to enter AI answers at all.
Method
- Questions are written the way a buyer asks, and never name a brand: we test whether an engine recommends you, not whether it can repeat your name.
- Every question is asked once per engine with live web search on, in the market's own language.
- Citations are read from the engines' own source lists, not guessed from the text. Subdomains count towards the main domain.
- Raw answers are kept, so the ranking can be recomputed without asking again, and so we can show you the exact sentence you appear in.
- One snapshot is one day. AI answers move; that is the whole point of tracking them.
